Kristi Layman is a provisionally licensed mental health practitioner (PLMHP) by Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, with extensive professional experience and training in early childhood development as well as adoption related issues and trauma. She has completed the first year of Harris Institute Infant Toddler Mental Health with Southwest Human Development as well as the Training for Adoption Competency (TAC).
In addition to Kristi’s professional training and experience, she is a parent of a child with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Heart in Hands Developmental Center came to be because of her and her husband’s own struggles as parents of a child with ASD, as well as the insights she gained in her work as a professional. Kristi has personally witnessed families struggle to find child care and additional therapies to address their child’s specific needs.
